A Missionary Family

The James William and Carolyn Orton Ritchie family as of August 2001. The picture is full of missionaries and future missionaries.
Several membes of the James W. & Carolyn O. Ritchie family expanded to incude Grandma Elda Ritchie (just a few months following the passing of the Patricarch Leon J. Ritchie) and Dr. Keith Leon and Vera Butler Ritchie, the oldest Ritchie son along with most of his family. They were holding their annual reunion (Jim and Carolyn had returned to Africa). The Reunion had been named the The Ritchie Rockfest (Helaman 5:12).

The missions served by the members of this expaned family are worth recording. Leon and Elda Ritchie had two sons, Keith Leon and James William. The mission list is as follows:

In Hawaii with all the returned missionaries and their families and Grandma Ritchie on the eve of Jonathan and Eliza's marriage. Jim and Carolyn were on 'leave' (with permission) from their Africa West Assignment for the wedding and a several year pre-planned family outing.
