Farewell to the Ritchie's - Jan 12, 2006 - West Africa Area Office

It takes two years to get it - but its worth the effort..we are dressed in our Kente Sash presented to us by President Snow of the Area Presidency...
Elder Snow saying some pretty nice things about us - they might not have been totally true but they sure sounded nice...
My comment time...what great memories we have stored up from our four years on this incredible continent...Sister Ritchie also spoke but her picture had her in tears and she refused to let me publish it for all to see...so it looks like I represented both of us...not true...
They call this The Temple Choir because they all work on the Temple Site and are available for occasions such as this - they are really good, including that white girl hidden in the middle - Sister Thompson needs to get a better tan...
Brother Charles Ajeigbe, our only remaining counselor in the MTC Presidency, also spoke at the 'farewell' and gave us a very nice tribute...(a copy of his 'words' are stored in the family archives)...
With Elder Snow...he reminded everyone that he knew Carolyn 56 years ago when he met her at Kindergarten in St. George and he knew me 49 years ago when we were in the same troop on a national BSA Jamboree to Valley Forge, Penn. - therefore, as he correctly stated he knew both us before we knew each other...somehow that turned into a memorable thought...mostly it just seemed nice to be 'known'...we hope Heavenly Father remembers us as well as Elder Snow did...
