Sierra Leone Leaders Visit Garden of Eden

President Shaka Konneh and Brother Sahr Doe from Sierra Leone. Bro. Konneh was visiting us while on a Accra Temple experience. He is a District President in Sierra Leone. Brother Doe (next to Pres. Konneh) is presenty our senior teacher here at the MTC. He is certainly a future leader for the church in his country. He will go home this December after a two year mission (one year as a junior companion and nearly one year as the AP) to Nigeria and almost that long as a teacher at the MTC. He has a young lady patiently waiting his return. He has focused on saving all his money so he can have a financial start when he returns. He has saved 100% of his entire salary for his return and has paid his personal living expenses from outside earnings and odd jobs while being at the MTC six days per week and usually from early morning to nine pm at night. Quite an unusual young man. He got good news with the arrival of this District President. While he was here, the President scheduled the first ever temple exercusion from Sierra Leone to Accra. It will be late November. This is at least a five day - each direction - bus trip across many - often scary -borders. The excitment came because it is an answer to his prayers as this will give him an inexpensive way home - an alternative to flying home at a cost of $400 which would wipe out three months of his salary from his sacred savings.
