Milestones and Magical Moments with Group 25 September 26 2005

We traveled to Accra and attended the Priesthood Session of General Confernce with our 25 Elders. Here they are shown on the balcony of the Stake Center adjacent to the Temple.

On the lawn in front of the MTC these future leaders commit to obey with exactness and become Like Unto Moroni. Seated with these 28 missionaries from eight different countries are President and Sister Gunnell, the Accra Ghana Temple President and Matron along with President and Sister Dil, the Ghana Cape Coast Mission President and wife. Also seated is President Charles Ajeigbe, the counselor in the MTC Mission Presidency.
A few of the missionaries on thier first Hyde Park experience. "Hyde Park" is located on the lawn between the MTC and the Tema Chapel. Here an elder like Wilford Woodruff of old is preaching to those passerbyes in the Park many of whom stopped and had their life changed by the message of the Restoration. This is their first speaking expeience in the MTC and is always a Milestone once they have 'announced' the Restoration to the World.
Elder Dalieh from Liberia is a historic missionary at the MTC. He is the first Elder who has ever returned to the MTC after having gone home to 'sort out' his life. He was here in August of 2004 and returned just over one year from that date. He cried as he unloaded his few belongings at the MTC for the second time and commited to make this one a life changing experience. He is having a Sudnay night dinner with us having come one day early.
